In the clip, Swetnick is accompanied by her lawyer Michael Avenatti, who is also representing Stormy Daniels in her defamation case against President Donald Trump. Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge were allegedly "present" at these parties; Swetnick does not claim Kavanaugh assaulted her or participated in the gang rapes.
A spokesman for the Senate Judiciary Committee said lawyers for the panel were reviewing the declaration submitted by Swetnick, who said she has worked extensively for the federal government including the Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service.
Kavanaugh is denying the new allegations. A judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Kavanaugh said he doesn't know who Swetnick is and "this never happened".
Judge Kavanaugh furiously lambasted Democrats, accusing them of destroying his family after Dr Christine Blasey Ford, a college professor, told the panel she was "100 percent" certain he had assaulted her at a 1982 high school gathering.
"I can always be convinced", Trump said at a press conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in NY, on the eve of a key Senate hearing at which a university professor accusing his nominee of assault will detail her allegations to lawmakers. The behavior included grabbing girls and fondling them without their consent, she alleged.
Judiciary Democrats Demand Kavanaugh Hearing Be Postponed Over Allegations
A hearing is scheduled for Thursday. "They've destroyed a man's reputation, and they want to destroy it even more ". Judge is a boyhood friend of Kavanaugh who has written a book describing the debauchary of his high school years.
Julie Swetnick, pictured below, claims that she met Judge and Kavanaugh in "approximately 1980-1981" at house party in the Washington, D.C. area.
At the time of Swetnick's allegations, Kavanaugh was a student at Georgetown Prep, a private Catholic school also in the Washington suburbs. Under no circumstances should Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed absent a full and complete investigation. "I witnessed Brett Kavanaugh consistently engage in excessive drinking and inappropriate contact of a sexual nature with women during the early 1980s", she also states.
Kavanaugh's reputation took another hit over the weekend when the New Yorker reported that a second woman had come forward to claim she the victim of sexual misconduct by the judge. Swetnick told Showtime's "The Circus" that she stepped forward so close to the hearing because it's been on her mind ever since the incidents, slamming the judge as unfit for the highest court in the land.
"I have a firm recollection of boys lined up outside of rooms at many of these parties waiting for their "turn" with a girl inside the room", according to the affidavit.
Judge Kavanaugh watched Dr. Ford's testimony at his home in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Ms. Swetnick doesn't allege that Judge Kavanaugh and Mr. Judge engaged in the rape but said they were "present" when she was victimized. "These boys included Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh", the affidavit reads.
Republican Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona, another member of the Judiciary Committee, said he still expects the committee to vote on Kavanaugh's nomination on Friday.
