It comes with touch controllers similar to that of the Rift and provides six degrees of freedom. Those limitations aren't a major issue if you're doing something like watching a 360-degree video, but they don't permit more fully interactive experiences such as fancy games.

The new $399 Oculus Quest headset unveiled at the Facebook unit's developer conference is being aimed at gamers seeking immersion in virtual worlds, with other potential applications likely in the future.

Facebook today announced Oculus Quest, its first all-in-one VR gaming system during the Oculus Connect 5 keynote.

And while company's official press release mentions a resolution of 1600 x 1400 and 64GB of built-in storage, that's not a lot to go on. Speaking of the future, Oculus also announced that the Quest is capable of mixed reality.

Oculus vice president Hugo Barra said Quest combined the capabilities of Rift and the portability of Go, the current headgear in the company's lineup, with a strong focus on games. It showed off a quick demo of someone using the device to view a digital version of their room and get Facebook Messenger notifications.
