A deal between Cleveland and Minnesota would be much more hard to figure out largely due to the number of bad contracts the Cavs have. But what is certain is he is eligible for a five-year, $190 million extension with the Wolves if he stays to the end of this season. If the Clips really are big game hunting for another big-time free agent next summer, adding one of them would simply be future investment in that plan; having Butler in tow will make getting the next star that much easier.
