Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy A7 phone with a triple rear camera, a day after a photo of the phone was leaked to the public. This makes us wonder that if Galaxy S10 couldn't feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, this would be the look Samsung would be gunning for their flagship.
As mentioned, the USP of the device remains the tri-camera setup at the rear consisting of 24MP primary sensor supported by an 8MP 120° Ultra Wide Lens, and 5MP Depth sensor lens. There's also a 24MP front-facing cam with an LED flash and "Selfie Focus" effect for adding bokeh. It is at the sides, embedded in the power button.
Highlights of the two phones include big 6.0-inch 18.5:9 screens with a HD+ resolution, facial recognition, 3,300mAh batteries, Dolby Atmos audio, a quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset and a glass-like back cover, seemingly created to help them look premium without upping the price.
Internally an undisclosed octa-core chipset is running things, with 4GB and 64GB onboard storage designated for the SA model. It's likely that the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) will cost the same or slightly less than the A7 from 2017. It still remains to be seen what all new features will the company introduce with Galaxy A9 apart from the four-rear camera setup. The 24-megapixel lens also promises crisp images in low-light circumstances by combining 4 pixels into 1 pixel. Both the smartphones feature a 6-inch Infinity Display with 18:5 aspect ratio and are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. The smartphone will run on Android 8.0 out-of-the-box and incorporates a 3,300 mAh battery to provide the juice. The device will be available in blue, black, gold and pink colours.

Although the A7 is now official, we're still in the dark on some of the finer details such as a price, the exact processor it has and also precisely when it will launch.
Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 packs mid-range hardware and seems to bring a new design for the Galaxy A series, even though it keeps its frontside within similar lines of the previous Galaxy A models.
