First Official Look at Brie Larson in 'Captain Marvel' Costume

It's been more than a year since Brie Larson was announced as the title hero of Captain Marvel, and until yesterday it was starting to feel like we'd never get any details about the film itself, even as the release date is fast approaching.

In the meantime, we will receive a "Captain Marvel" film, which will focus on Air Force pilot Carol Danvers ( Brie Larson) who becomes an intergalactic hero. She's left her earthly life behind to join an elite Kree military team called Starforce, led by Jude Law's enigmatic commander. "And she's got a formidable enemy in the form of [shape-shifting] Skrulls".

The reveal of Mendelsohn's Talos in both full Skrull make-up and in his human disguise is significant. The character was teased in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War, and she will also be part of the as-yet untitled Avengers 4 in May 2019. He's also a "lowly S.H.I.E.L.D. desk jockey (who hasn't yet met any superheroes)", which is a far cry from his status within the Marvel Cinematic Universe as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and recruiter of the Avengers. She's amusing, but doesn't always tell good jokes.

Not only was Nadal two points from losing at 5-all in the closing tiebreaker, but he finished with fewer total points , 171-166. I'm only in my third one back. "I definitely have more experience than him and that might have helped me in certain moments".

The comic book and movie powerhouse has released 10 pictures to EW in the U.S., which includes glimpses of Larson as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's strongest superhero, Jude Law as her mentor Mar-Vell, Ben Mendelsohn as the villainous Talos and a two-eyed, de-aged Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. "But at her core, she has so much heart and so much humanity - and all of its messiness".

That brings us to Danvers' Starforce squad, which aside from featuring Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, has a big surprise: Djimon Hounsou's Korath, who was introduced as one of the bad guys in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy.

An earlier photo of Larson in costume from the Captain Marvel set was released a few months ago featured only the green, black and silver costume.
