Apple Announces Event on September 12, New iPhones Are Expected

Apple's big iPhone reveal event will be held in the new Steve Jobs Theatre at the company's headquarters in Cupertino. Both the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch iPhones will be coming with OLED displays just as the iPhone X.

Apple's event invitation made heavy use of the colour gold, fueling speculation on social media that the company plans to launch a gold-coloured successor to the iPhone X, which was made available only in silver and grey past year.

The Apple iPhone XS and Apple Watch Series 4 will be unveiled during a special event at Apple's spaceship campus on September 12. It's rumored to come in new colors, too, but which colors those will be remains unknown.

The Apple event has been scheduled for September 12 this year, which is the same date on which the iPhone maker company organized the event last year.

The processing speeds and camera will be the biggest improvements over last year's iPhone X, and some global models are also rumoured to have dual-SIM slots. The cameras will be improved from the iPhone X and the processors will be faster.

Apple today officially sent out its invite for the upcoming press event during which it will reveal the next generation iPhone and several other new products. While two iPhone models will feature an OLED panel, one would be a comparatively cheaper smartphone with an LCD display. Are you eagerly holding on for the 2018 Apple Watch refresh?

At the same time, there'll also been speculation about a new Mac mini, Apple's compact desktop computer. It will also be accompanied by a brand new version of the Apple Watch called the Series 4.

A year on, we'd expect Apple to add a very easy to calculate 10% on to the 2017 rate.

The AppleWatch will reportedly receive a bigger screen without increasing the overall casing size, while the iPad Pro should also be upgraded to lost their home buttons and feature Face ID.

We've reached out to Apple for comment on the reports and will update this story when we hear back.
