Sales soared by 41% in the first five hours of Prime Day compared to the first five hours previous year, according to Feedvisor, a software company that uses algorithm and machine learning to track e-commerce pricing.

Amazon has released several teaser deals in preparation for the bigger discounts later on this evening, giving huge discounts to TVs, Smartphones, Cameras and many more goods. This also saves you the trouble of signing up to Amazon Prime.

Another of the top-rated anti-aging brand's products with a special Amazon Prime Day Lightening Deal is the Total Repair Eye Gel for Dark Circles and Puffiness, now reduced by 20% as well. Of course, as with most of the deals popping up during Prime Day, a majority of these offers are exclusively available for Prime members.

Meanwhile, Amazon workers, who have long gone on strike in the run-up to the holidays, have found a new occasion to get their employer's attention: Prime Day.

Unlike many other sites, we have chosen not to give too much prominence to Prime Day.

This year's Prime Day is expected to bring in $3.4 billion for the company, up from an estimated $2.4 billion a year ago, according to retail research firm Coresight Research.
