- Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic attended the post-fight press conference, showed up on FOX Sports 1 and even posted a message to his fans on social media after losing to Daniel Cormier at UFC 226.

"I was a heavyweight for a long time, and I left the division", Cormier said. He is now only the second fighter in UFC history to hold two divisional belts simultaneously.

"I'm 39 years old, and I've been second many times", Cormier said. He and Cormier served as coaches on the recent season of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality series.

Earlier, when pushed about how staged his pro wrestling melee with Lesnar inside the Octagon was received on social media, Cormier gave a similarly revealing response.

Cormier grabbed the mic and declared: "You can shove me now and go to sleep later!"

"Ngannou's a piece of s***!" Miocic's a piece of s-t. I said 'okay, see you Saturday'. It was for the UFC heavyweight belt, a fight UFC president Dana White told reporters the company is definitely going to make.

The current WWE champion hasn't fought since UFC 200 in July 2016, where he defeated his opponent Mark Hunt via unanimous decision. The bout was changed to a no contest after Lesnar was suspended for one-year by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

It seems all but confirmed that UFC is now headed to a UFC heavyweight title fight between Cormier and Lesnar, which would be a big time draw on PPV. As D.C. talked to Joe Rogan, Cormier challenged Lesnar to step into the Octagon, telling him, "Get your ass in here!" For the fourth consecutive year, the weekend's pay-per-view card lost a major fight when featherweight champion Max Holloway was ruled out of his title defence with Brian Ortega due to symptoms of an apparent concussion.

"Him and Vince have a good relationship", White said. But I don't know if he's going to be around.
