Rumors hint at three Samsung Galaxy S10 models

Samsung, Apple and Huawei are rumored to be working on foldable smartphones.

Recent reports have said the Galaxy S10 might come in three different sizes, with the largest one possibly sporting a triple camera setup at the back.

Originally we'd heard that the Galaxy S10 would be arriving earlier than the S9 did this year, with many expecting it to be unveiled at CES at the start of January.

Why it matters: Apple's iPhone X might have popularized the notch among Android manufacturers, but the expensive flagship wasn't Cupertino's most successful handset in May.

Samsungs's foldable flagship Galaxy X phone is expected to go official in the initial months of 2019 alongside the Galaxy S10.

Samsung has since acknowledged its plan to expand its smartphone portfolio.

Samsung's expectation just misses an average estimate of 14.9 trillion won from 18 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters, and shares in the company are down just over 2 per cent on the earnings guidance news. It will disclose detailed results in late July. Early leaks point that the pricing of the device will be around $1000.

This is expected to be a drag on profit growth when the Korean conglomerate posts second quarter earnings on Friday.

Investors are growing increasingly concerned however about the prospect of an all-out trade war between China and the United States, and how this could impact major exporters like South Korea's tech champions.

Other reported features include a 470 mAh battery, blood pressure measurement, and a PLP package that'll allow for smaller components inside the watch.

A new filing by the FCC in the USA shows the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 S-stylus will have Bluetooth capabilities.
