The warrant said Williams shot XXXTentacion on Monday outside a motorcycle store. He was booked on charges of first-degree murder and operating a vehicle without a license, in addition to a probation violation. His attorney, David Bogenschutz, said Tuesday that investigators told him XXXTentacion had visited a bank shortly before the shooting and possibly withdrew cash to buy a motorcycle at Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach.
"[Williams] has previous arrests for cocaine possession, weapons possession, domestic violence, aggravated assault with a firearm and grand theft auto", the report notes. He did not face jail time for any of these charges, some of which were dropped.
A Florida judge has ordered Williams to be held without bond.
Williams was expected to appear Thursday in Broward County Court.
The arrest was confirmed to the Daily News by Broward County Sheriff's Office Captain Robert Schakenberg.
