Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Makes It A First Person RPG Game

The game is a first-person RPG that features a lot of shooting. Through numerous interviews conducted with CDPR employees today, we've learned that the game will be a first-person perspective RPG with driveable vehicles, character creation, backstory generation, wallrunning, and brutal melee combat. Cyberpunk 2077 will release on PC, Xbox One and PS4. While the trailer didn't show us any actual gameplay, we have been learning some additional information about the game over the days since. As you slide across the floor or reach out to catch a thrown object the camera tracks your character's eyeline, while stealth kills include contextual animations like plunging an enemy's head into nearby water to kill them more discreetly.

Coming from a live gameplay demonstration behind closed doors, IGN's Marty Sliva and Tom Marks divulged many details about what they've seen from Cyberpunk 2077.

Interestingly enough, Cyberpunk 2077 won't pigeonhole you into any class, per say. It was first teased back in 2013. CD Projekt Red's Kyle Rowley firmly stated to GameSpot that "It's a role-playing game with some shooter elements, rather than a shooter with role-playing laid on top of it".

Animations are fluid throughout, and do a great job of placing you in the world.

Being an RPG, it shares some basic similarities with The Witcher, namely the ability to comb the open-world for side quests by chatting with NPCs.

It doesn't look like co-op is a possibility either, as Patrick explained to Eurogamer that despite having an AI sidekick called Jackie for a few missions, most of the game will be spent as a solo player.
