Reframing How The Season Ended For The 76ers

Though the Philadelphia 76ers went away, they went away loudly.

Better defense - particularly against the Sixers' three-point shooters, who were smothered - and more mental toughness down the stretch helped Boston win a game that could have gone either way.

Despite some back-breaking miscues in crunch time of Game 3, Simmons looked more like himself with 16 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and two blocks.

There were high hopes for the 76ers heading into the National Basketball Association playoffs after a campaign that yielded 52 victories in the regular season and a first playoff series win since 2012 - a round-one triumph against the Miami Heat. Many expected the Sixers to defeat Boston in the second round because the Celtics were without injured stars Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward.

"We haven't made shots and I think if we can click on a night when we are guarding like we have been guarding and then make some shots, that's when we have a chance to be at our best", Brown said.

It may take some time for Philadelphia fans to get over this series loss, but hopefully they realize the potential surrounding this team for years to come.

Wave of protests sweeps new leader into power in Armenia
After the vote, Pashinyan headed to Republic Square, the center of the protest movement that brought him to the premiership. After the plebiscite, thousands of opposition supporters rallied against alleged mass violations at polling stations.

I still feel coach Brett Brown made a mistake by shortening his bench and leaving Fultz out of the rotation for this series.

"We feel like when everybody's on we're unbeatable", the always self-assured Embiid shared.

"For the next decade, we're going to have a lot of fun battles", Embiid said about matching up with Boston again in the future, according to's Brian Robb. Despite the disappointing end for Philly, Embiid believes "The Process" has been worth it. "We know it's going to be a physical game".

"Looking at where we are, it paid off", Embiid said of the "The Process". We didn't do it, so next year it's definitely our goal.

In any event, much as I wanted to see the Sixers move on to face the Cavs, I refuse to be disappointed with the way this season ended up.
