India's World Cup opener against South Africa on June 5, 2019

The tournament comprises 48 matches to be played across 46 days.

The semifinals are expected to be at Old Trafford and Edgbaston on July 9 and 11 with the final at Lord's on July 14.

In the first match of the World Cup, England will meet South Africa at The Oval on May 30th 2019. Next year's IPL is scheduled to take place between March 29 and May 19.

The schedule for the ICC World Cup 2019 has been released.

Jose Mourinho: 'I hope I can be friends with Arsene Wenger'
I want to do as well as I can. 'Overall I must say that is their main strength'. Two years ago, we finished second [in the Premier League].

"The matter is not closed, please understand", Chaudhary told reporters on the sidelines of the quarterly ICC meetings in Kolkata.

Another much-awaited encounter between 2015 World Cup finalists Australia and New Zealand will take place on June 29 at Lord's. According to the first draft of the schedule, India were supposed to play in the first few days of the tournament, but the ICC accepted the BCCI's request and pushed back the date of their first match. In fact, in matches other than in World Cups, India has won only 37% of the matches - just slightly more than one-third of the matches. India have never lost to Pakistan in the World Cup.

The 10-team cricket extravaganza will be played between 30 May and 14 July next year, and fixture details of all 48 matches will be made officially tomorrow. However, in the same period, the number of Tests at home is set to increase to 19 from 15.

But it would involve huge cost in converting the football pitch to a cricket outfield as well as the instillation of drop in pitches in England for the first time. Given that the ICC Test Championships will only consist of day matches played with the red ball, the BCCI saw no goal in playing a day/night Test with a pink ball.
