Undertaker was origianlly supposed to face Rusev in a Casket Match at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah on April 27.
The Phenom will now face six-time world champion Chris Jericho.
The storyline suggests that Rusev's wife Lana pleaded with management to get her husband off this grisly match.
Reuben Foster arrested on felony domestic violence
Foster was also charged with possession of an assault weapon, a felony, and possession of a high-capacity magazine, a misdemeanor. The arrest was Foster's second of the offseason; he was detained in Alabama for alleged marijuana possession in January.
Y2J was announced as a replacement for Rusev in an out of nowhere statement by WWE.
Whether or not the interview, or Rusev's tweet following the announcement where he wrote "Bury me softly, Brother", resulted in the former United States Champion getting yanked from the match remains to be seen. The object of a Casket match is for a WWE Superstar to trap their opponent inside the casket and close the lid. Although Jericho has never been a part of such an ominous showdown, WWE's first Undisputed Champion has battled in virtually every other kind of match WWE has to offer, and if his extensive résumé says anything, it's that he knows how to win when it counts.
What do you think of Rusev being swapped with Jericho? They simply decided Jericho vs Undertaker would be a better match even though they announced Rusev vs Undertaker before they came to that conclusion. Unfortunately, that means that, as of right now, his scheduled appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble event is only scheduled as a "one-shot deal".
As of this post, nineteen Superstars have been confirmed for the 50-Man Royal Rumble Match, most notably Daniel Bryan and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.
