Registration for the Kiwanis-sponsored egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. with the first, and youngest, age group released promptly at 11 a.m. Our annual Easter Brunch takes place Sunday, April 1, under the open-air dome of the lovely Rose Hills Foundation Garden Court. This event is being sponsored by the Beverly Lions Club and the Muskingum Valley Leo Club.

Organizers are canceling an annual community Easter egg hunt due to traffic snarls and negative feedback. The Egg Hunt will begin at 10 a.m.

10,001 brightly colored eggs filled with sweet treats will be hidden throughout the park. Many other eggs will contain tickets for an even bigger prize.

Easter egg hunt participants are asked to either pay a small fee or make a donation to take part in a hunt, with all proceeds going back to conserving the properties. Close to 100 children filled decorated Easter baskets, plastic buckets and cloth bags.

The first of several area egg hunts will kick off at 11 a.m. on Friday at Vincennes State Historic Sites, 1 West Harrison St. The pictures will be emailed right to you and you can also bring your own camera if preferred.

The event will be hosted by the Elim Church at the Oamaru Public Gardens. Easter services will be held that day from 8:30 a.m.to noon.

Visalia Parks & Rec's 13th EggstravaganzaEnjoy music, informational booths, and a visit from the Easter Bunny this Saturday, March 31 for the Parks and Recreation Department's 13th annual Eggstravaganza. Eggs have also been associated with pagan festivals celebrating spring and new life.

Eight Easter egg hunts are planned at towns in Marshall County on Saturday. Refreshments and activities will follow in Tunnel's Multi-Purpose Building (where the egg hunt will be held if the weather is bad).

Four fields at the Hunt (2725 Iron Mountain Blvd.) will be divided by age group: toddlers; kids between 4 and 5; kids between 6 and 7; and those who are 8 years or older.
