Noren beat Thomas 5&3 in the match for third place. Kisner, who needed 19 holes to beat Alex Noren during the semifinals in the morning, appeared drained as he topped the 100-hole mark for the week, while Watson put it on cruise control early after dispatching of Justin Thomas 3 & 2 in the morning. An hour later, Kisner couldn't hit a shot where he was aiming and lost six of the first seven holes. Three down after four.
The victory means that Watson is only the fifth player to have won multiple Majors and multiple WGC titles. Kisner had taken 40 shots to negotiate the front nine. During that span, Watson was a conservative 1 under par.
Leading up to the final, Kisner was approximately 21 under par. He drained the birdie putt to advance to the final.
The round-of-16 matches will be played Saturday morning, followed by the quarter-finals in the afternoon.
"It's nice to be back to form".
"So, we called the resort or I got my assistant to call the resort to say: 'Hey?"
Heading to the Masters, which he describes as the "greatest sporting event in golf history", he is determined to keep his head down - "look like a zombie" - and not get distracted by the hype surrounding him.
After a down year in 2017, Watson has returned with a vengeance, already twice winning on the PGA Tour this year. For me, this is a dream come true.
He wouldn't have imagined such an easy time against Kisner in the all-Georgia Bulldogs final that ended with the fabled "dog license" score in match play.
"But then I can't stay out of the country too long as I have to get dressed-up and be ready to return to Augusta". That's pretty good over a hundred and something holes. Golf is my true passion and I love playing it. Furyk is, of course, the American Ryder Cup captain and you can be certain that Watson will be in that team. Phil Mickelson comes to mind. "I tried to stick with my game plan but everything went left or right".

He also stated that he might have some documentation on the company's work in India, which he could provide to the committee. The company also said it was 100-per cent Canadian owned and operated and was never part of Cambridge Analytica or SCL.
"The family weren't going to go without me as they are all waiting for me".
It was the biggest margin of victory in a final since 2008 when Tiger Woods won 8 & 7 over Stewart Cink.
"That's really all I'm trying to do". "There were only about four or five shots over the whole week where I lost my focus, where I didn't have my concentration". It's just a learning experience, I need to handle it better.
"I happen to be 39 now but I'm just a kid playing golf and having fun with it".
For several players in the field, it was a week of missed opportunities.
Johnson went out of the event on Thursday, losing all three of his group matches.
"It's just one of those deals, every time I looked up, (the ball) was nowhere near where I was looking", Kisner said.
As Watson approached the sixth tee box, he turned to a reporter and said, "Hey, no matter what - I was beating No. 1 at one point".
The result cost Thomas the world number one ranking, which compatriot Dustin Johnson continues to hold. It was the lowest point of his career, and maybe even his life. It didn't take almost that long for him to rediscover the spark that made him a two-time Masters champion.
