Hamill took to the podium at the end of the ceremony, joking that he hadn't "been this speechless since Force Awakens". "If it weren't for the genius of George Lucas, I wouldn't be standing here today..."

"If it weren't for the public", Hamill told the audience, "I'd be nowhere".

"You are with me through thick and thin and the highs and the lows and everywhere in between", Hamill says.

"He has been the master of his own experience, his own life", said Ford, adding he prepared himself for the Walk of Fame presentation by visiting the past. He is also well-known for his prolific voice-acting career, having played the Joker on Batman: The Animated Series.
