With four seconds left on the clock, freshman Collin Sexton charged down the court and put the ideal touch behind the ball to drop in the buzzer-beater to take down Texas A&M, 71-70, in the second round of the 2018 SEC Tournament Thursday afternoon at the Scottrade Center.

Four players are averaging at least 9.9 points per game for Alabama, they are Collin Sexton (18.3), Donta Hall (10.9), John Petty (10.4) and Dazon Ingram (9.9).

He's averaging 4.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game this season. So Thursday's SEC Tournament game against Texas A&M was a must win if they wanted to play later into March. This time, Starks nailed a three-pointer to give the Aggies a 69-70 lead with 4.4 seconds remaining.

It should have been the game-winner, but questionable defense on the final possession allowed Sexton to get the full length of the court for the actual game-winner. A few more wins could ensure their trip to the NCAA Tournament this spring.

The Auburn Tigers enter this tournament splitting their last eight games. Conversely, junior center Tyler Davis, who is playing with a bruised bladder he suffered in Saturday's game, had a bestial half, leading the Aggies in scoring and rebounding with seven and nine respectively. He's averaged over 18 points per game this season. Despite the loss, Sexton was the game's leading scorer with 23 points. ESPN's Joe Lunardi still has the Aggies listed as a 7-seed in the tournament but there are bound to be ample changes to the projected bracket with conference tournaments underway.

Alabama heads into the game with records of 17-14 straight up (SU) and 15-14-1 against the spread (ATS).
