Raiders will host Seahawks in 'home game' at London's Tottenham Stadium

The team announced it will be playing the Los Angeles Chargers at London's Wembley Stadium sometime in October for the 2018 season. We all know that London's Finest in the Jacksonville Jaguars would have a home game in the United Kingdom, but it was up in the air for the other seven teams that will play ball away from American soil in 2018.

The Seahawks will play the first National Football League game in the new stadium on October 14.

London called, and the Chargers answered, the team announcing Thursday that it will play the Tennessee Titans in either Week 7 (Oct. 21) or Week 8 (Oct. 28) next season in Wembley Stadium.

21 (Week 4) and Sunday, Oct. 28, consecutive games will be played at Wembley Stadium.

The Dolphins have played more game in London than any team but the Jaguars.

"This is a unique year for us as we transition to a new a stadium which explains the thinking that went behind it [the reduction in games]", said National Football League executive vice president of global Mark Waller. The Seahawks are hoping a trip to Charlotte to play the Panthers can be scheduled for week 5, so they can shorten the flight to London by going directly from North Carolina. Seattle is one of the six teams that has yet to play a regular-season game in London.

Next season's London matchup should be a good one. The home of English football has now hosted 18 NFL games, with nearly 1.5 million fans attending them.

The Jaguars are 3-2 in London, losing to San Francisco (2013) and Dallas (2014) and defeating Buffalo, Indianapolis and Baltimore the last three years. There's still a chance that Denver could play a game in Mexico, though.

"We wanted to do the three games back-to-back".
