While only a few days are left for the CES 2018 to kick-off, it seems Acer has booked an exclusive event for introducing an upgraded Chromebook 11. Add to that the small 11.6-inch display, and it can be packed in your bag easily. As far as ports go, you get a USB-C port on the left side, as well as a USB 3.0 port, a micro SD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
With Intel Celeron processors, the Chromebook 11 should be able to handle multiple apps and browser tabs. Acer says these new Chromebooks are flawless for everyday use with their super portable design and up to 10-hours of battery life. And yes, the Google Play Store is available on the Chromebook 11 here.
Well, speaking about the display, the Acer Chromebook 11 is offered in two types of displays - touch (CB311-8HT) and non-touch (CB311-8H) - you can choose whichever best suits your needs. Dubbed as Chromebook 11 CB311, the new laptop ships with USB-C port with the ability to deliver up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge of 100 percent. Called HP Chromebook 11 G6 and Chromebook 14 G5, the new models are said to cater to the education and enterprise markets. Perhaps like Android app support, we'll see Assistant roll to other Chromebooks in the coming months. Actually, the OS is a full Linux distribution that is both extremely secure and easy to use.

It's a separate accessory to enable fully wireless VR, with interference-free 60GHz communication. The adaptor will ship worldwide in Q3.
The laptop is powered by Intel's Celeron processor with 2 or 4GB of RAM, along with 16 or 32GB of internal storage. The Chromebooks will be available in black and dark grey color options.
Availability wise, Acer has said that the Chromebook will appear in the European, Middle Eastern, and African markets in March where the base model will start at €249, before launching in the USA in April for US$249. The pricing will start at $249. Exact specifications, prices, and availability will vary by region. As Acer looks into the future, it is focused on enabling a world where hardware, software and services will fuse with one another to open up new possibilities for consumers and businesses alike.
