AAA Northeast says its weekly survey on Monday found the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded climbed five cents, to $2.48.

Sunday national gas price average is $2.49, which unchanged in the last week, up a penny in the last month and 12 cents higher than this time a year ago.

That's a penny less than the national average of $2.49.

In the Wenatchee area, gas prices were relatively steady, holding on at $2.82 per gallon.

Last month, Twitter began enforcing new rules to remove "hateful" content on the network, including posts that promote violence. And Dorsey has said in the past that Twitter has bigger considerations in mind when policing the tweets of world leaders.

Gas prices held steady during the first week of 2018 in Southwest Florida, and analysts say drivers can expect to see a seasonal slide in what they pay at the pump. West Texas Intermediate crude settled at a four-year high above $62 a barrel last week as global supply levels tightened.

Both GasBuddy and AAA report that prices remain elevated because of strong oil prices. The first two months of the year are typically the times of year that gasoline demand is at its weakest, and with builds in gasoline stock anticipated next week, prices will have a hard time going much higher in the short term. This is a 15 cent raise for regular gasoline which means gas prices have increased by a total of 17 cents in the last two weeks alone.

Nationally over the last month, average prices went up 1.7 cents per gallon.
