Airtel revises Rs 448 and Rs 509 packs to counter Jio

The pack come with a validity of 28 days, which means users will get 98GB of 4G data per month.

Sources are saying that the price which used to start with these price tag such as Rs. 199, Rs. 399, Rs. 459 and Rs. 499 Jio plans will cost Rs. 149, Rs. 349, Rs. 399 and Rs. 449, respectively. As a part of new year celebrations, many popular Jio prepaid plans are set to witness quite a few exciting changes from January 9, 2018. However, in most of the circles such as Bihar, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, etc., the company is still offering old plans.

Jio has also reduced the 1 GB data rate to Rs. 4 for a 1-day validity plan. Under this offer, customers will get 91 GB of 4G data with a daily cap of 1GB data. The validity of this plan will be 70 days. The pack offers unlimited voice calls and national free roaming. Hopefully, Vodafone makes these changes on a pan-India in the coming days. The operator has 160 million users across the country, and has been dictating market terms since its launch. In short, customers can avail 1GB data per day in addition to unlimited calling and SMS for that duration. Now, the brand has extended the validity and it comes with a validity of 91 days.

It will now compete against Airtel's Rs 509 plan which also offers same amount of data. Then, they can recharge with the updated Jio Rs 399 plan to get 14GB/14 days extra in addition to cashback and other benefits of the Jio Surprise Cashback offer.

Rs 448 plan: Jio now offers 126GB data for 84 days.

The company's Rs 509 gives users 1GB data per day for 84 days, which means the user gets a total of 84GB.

Rs 498 plan: The new data amount is 136GB 4G data for 91 days.
