According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Oakland (6-10) will try to lure former Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden out of the broadcast booth to take over.

Jon Gruden coached in Oakland for four good years, leading the Raiders to four consecutive.500-or-better seasons, including two playoff appearances and an AFC Championship.

Gruden's Raiders candidacy also complicates his current job status as Monday Night Football color commentator. Which will be critical for the Raiders during what likely will be their previous year in Oakland. In his first season in Tampa, Gruden got his revenge as he led the Bucs to a 12-4 regular season and crushed the Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII, 48-21. However, with so many coaching vacancies expected, that shouldn't last long.
