Earlier, today militants stormed the Group Training Centre of the 185th battalion camp of the Central Reserve Police Force in Letpora in Awantipora around 2 am. Terming the attack as "dastardly", the chief minister said violence had taken a heavy toll in the state in terms of death and destruction, tearing apart of the social fabric, inflicting massive economic, academic and social losses besides the irreparable loss of human lives.
CRPF spokesperson Rajesh Yadav said the bodies of two terrorists have also been recovered while one more is believed to have been killed. Both attackers were killed in retaliatory action.
Four jawans have been martyred and three terrorists were killed in the fidayeen attack on the CRPF camp in Jammu and Kashmir.
Troy police investigating quadruple homicide
In the bedroom, they found a 49-year-old woman from Troy and a 57-year-old man from Troy, also suffering from gunshot wounds. The 29-year-old victim was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center then Montgomery Hospital for further treatment.
A Jammu and Kashmir Police team is also co-located with CRPF in this camp. Militant outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad claimed responsibility for the Fidayeen attack on Lethpora CRPF camp.
The CRPF Training Centre building which militants attacked in Lethpora is up in flames as the firings from both the sides is going on.
Moreover, Noor Mohammed Terthe aka Noor Trali was the divisional commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed, who was killed on December 26 during an encounter in Sambora area of Pulwama.
