Just late last night, another woman who says she worked for Conyers also came forward to say the congressman groped her while they were in church.
Conyers is expected to make the announcement on a local radio show, the New York Times reported citing a relative.
"Rep. Conyers slid his hand up my skirt and rubbed my thighs while I was sitting next to him in the front row of a church", Grubbs said.
Veteran US Democrat John Conyers announced Tuesday he is leaving the House of Representatives after more than five decades in office, following a series of sexual harassment accusations by former staffers.
The decision sets up a battle within the Conyers family for his Detroit-area House seat. "We're calling for due process for every citizen, which also includes Congressman John Conyers by the same body which is supposed to uphold and defend due process". Another woman alleges she was sacked by Conyers after she rejected his advances and subsequently settled a wrongful dismissal claim with the congressman.
As allegations of sexual misconduct continue to swirl around him, several of Conyers' congressional colleagues encouraged him to resign. This, too, shall pass.

It will now assist the New York Attorney General's office in looking into all of the fake anti-net neutrality comments submitted via the FCC site.
Conyers, 88, was hospitalized last week for a stress-related illness after returning home from Washington, D.C. Last week, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leaders called for his resignation.
Conyers settled a wrongful dismissal claim in 2015 with a former employee who said he fired her because she said no to his sexual advances.
The congressman, who took his MI seat in the House in 1965, has already stepped aside as the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee amid swirling allegations of sexual improprieties. In one instance he appeared to mock all the women who have used the #MeToo hashtag to share their stories of assault, harassment, or rape.
The sexual harassment allegations against Conyers surfaced November 20 after BuzzFeed News reported he settled a wrongful dismissal complaint with an employee in 2015 for $27,000 in exchange for a confidentiality agreement and that he made advances toward female staffers, including requests for sexual favors, caressing their hands in a "sexually suggestive" way, and rubbing their legs and backs in an inappropriate manner while in the office or in public. "I think there should be a complete disclosure and revealing to all of the citizens of the country of what your federal legislators are doing or not doing and any cost that may have been incurred as a result of that", added Conyers.
Word of Conyers' resignation was met with sadness among House Democrats, even though many had called on him to step down.
