1 dead after hit-and-run driver strikes several pedestrians in Queens


One person died and several others were injured on Sunday when a hit-and-run driver mowed down a group of people after a stabbing outside a New York City hookah bar, police said. Two people were stabbed in the fight and rushed to the hospital. "The vehicle was going really fast, at least 50 miles per hour on the sidewalk", Rogers said. "The bodies went flying". The auto came "from nowhere and hit the whole group" on the sidewalk, the witness told the local media, adding that "the vehicle was going really fast" and he saw "bodies flying".

One of the injured is in critical condition and four others are stable, authorities said.

Case registered against Max Hospital over negligence issue
