Martin Shkreli Feds Want Wu-Tang, Lil Wayne Albums

Martin Shkreli was convicted of securities fraud in August.

Their seizure threats stem from prosecutors seeking money Shkreli owes after being convicted of defrauding investors.

They're also set to take a Picasso painting, an Enigma machine, $5 million in cash (from his E-Trade account), and his shares of Turing Pharmaceuticals.

Wu-Tang Clan's Once Upon a Time in Shaolin and Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V could very well be seized by the government, as controversial pharmaceutical mogul Martin Shkreli's legal issues continue to mount.

In an effort to recover $7.3m in forfeitures from the convicted hedge fund manager and pharmaceutical ceo Martin Shkreli, federal prosecutors filed a motion in NY court on Friday (1 December) that says he should be forced to give up, among other valuable assets, a Picasso painting now in his possession.

Residents of Yemen's capital, Sanaa, are used to the sounds of gunfire, but in the last four days they've had to adjust to new faultlines in the conflict.

Shkreli's lawyer Ben Brafman was not immediately available to comment on the government filing. His fraud and conspiracy convictions, however, don't stem from that episode, but rather to his conduct as a hedge fund manager and CEO of a different company, Retrophin.

Additionally, there was mention of Shkreli's copy of what may be "Tha Carter V", the lost double-album from rap legend Lil Wayne.

According to court documents filed Thursday, the USA government wants to seize the Wu-Tang Clan album that Martin Shkreli, the imprisoned former pharmaceuticals CEO, is believed to possess. "Accordingly, forfeiture of any assets is not an appropriate remedy". It had amassed bids of more than $1 million before Shkreli was remanded into custody in September for offering to pay his Facebook followers to grab Hillary Clinton's hair.

Shkreli is now in jail in Brooklyn and is scheduled to be sentenced on January 16, 2018.

"You're an old man - an old man that's lost his relevance, and you're trying to claim the spotlight from my spotlight", Shkreli said in the video, notes outcome of Sound.
