After a drama filled fashion show, Victoria's Secret models likely thought they could breathe a sigh of relief until next year - well, not quite.
The line has seemingly been deleted from Karlie Kloss' version of the singalong on YouTube.
The problem? In a room almost devoid of black models, you can hear them clearly singing the word "nigga" in Cardi B's line: "I don't wanna choose/And I'm quick, cut a nigga off, so don't get comfortable". "All white ones canceled for saying the n-word", another person wrote.
The models were rapping along to'Bodak Yellow by Cardi B while backstage at the show
Numerous social media users condemned their use of the word shortly after the video surfaced on a Twitter account called Pop Crave.
The bit that provoked the public outrage was one verse of the song, "I don't wanna choose and I'm quick to cut a ni**er off", or rather the fact that the models uttered aloud the racial slur it contains.
Requests for comment made to Victoria's Secret, Cardi B and Kloss were not returned by publication time. The Bronx bombshell performed her chart-topping smash "Bodak Yellow" at the British awards show, which took place at the First Direct Arena in Leeds. The song by the Love & Hip-Hop star was certified triple-platinum last week. Other big winners included Stormzy (Best Male Act, Best Grime Act, and Best Album for Gang Signs & Prayer), Giggs (Best Hip Hop Act), and Craig David (Best R&B/Soul Act). It now has over 341 million views on YouTube.
