"Mississippi is not a stepping stone for me, this is where I want to be", an emotional Luke told his team.

"I love Ole Miss, I love you guys (the team) and they will have to run me out of here", Luke said. Luke will receive a $3 million base salary next season, and that figure increases each year through the contract's duration, which lasts until December 31, 2021.

After his high school career at Gulfport, Luke played center for the Rebels from 1995-98.
