Henrikh Mkhitaryan offered Man United escape route

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has accused Henrikh Mkhitaryan of "disappearing" during games and demanded improvement from him.

"But then I don't know if Pogba is happy to be on the pitch under the fatigue line, or if the fatigue line has been reached".

"He started well this season but his performance levels, goalscoring, assists, high pressing, bringing the team with him as number 10, were decreasing step by step", added Mourinho.

"That was enough [to be dropped] because the others worked to have a chance. Everybody works to have a chance so it's as simple as that".

"It was a battle because Brighton were very good", Mourinho said.

Pires said on the Premier League Today programme when talking about the Manchester United midfielder: "He is a great player with good quality, but he knows that he needs to prove in every game".

India expresses outrage over release of Hafiz Saeed
India accused Pakistan of sponsoring the attacks through the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which Saeed had founded in the 1990s. An official said that the JuD activities are "already under the scanner", and this time, "we may again take action".

When asked if he was anxious about Fellaini leaving, Mourinho was quoted as saying by FourFourTwo, "Yes, it is a discussion between the player and the board".

But he appeared to have won over his biggest critic - Mourinho - with some impressive performances as United won the Europa League and clinched Champions League football.

Getting back to what Mourinho had to say about playing with too many forwards, it will be interesting to see what people have to say about this, i.e. how it plays into the narrative that he's too defensive minded. That's a team that excites more. My boys they didn't play well but they gave everything.

"I think we had an improvement with (Anthony) Martial".

"I could expect us to concede a goal", he told BBC Sport.
