Palestinians 'freeze' communications with U.S. over PLO office row

"In practice by closing the office they are freezing all meetings and we are making that official", he said.

"We are in contact with the Palestinian officials about the status of that PLO office".

The Palestinians have severed all contacts with officials from the Trump administration after it made a decision to close their official representation in Washington, dealing a blow to any potential resurrection of peace talks with Israel. That's what Abbas did in September.

United States officials cited comments by Abbas about possibly taking Israel to the International Criminal Court.

Earlier this week, the USA threatened to shut down the PLO office in Washington if the Palestinians insist to sue Israel in global courts and if the Palestinians refuse to hold direct peace talks with Israel.

"We are actually wondering how can we still talk to the American side while our offices in Washington are closed", Khatib said.

Athletic director Dan Guerrero said the shoplifting occurred when the team had 90 minutes of free time on November 6 in Hangzhou. I'm happy with how things were handled.

Nabil Abu Rdineh said in an official press statement sent to reporters that the PNA Presidency suspended its contacts with the U.S. Administration in protest to closing the offices of the PLO in Washington.

Al-Malki said Tuesday that the Trump administration is already "reconsidering" its decision concerning the PLO office in Washington following the statements made by the Palestinian Authority, as reported by the Israeli Haaretz daily.

Malki added that if the USA wanted to review the decision to shut the office in DC, it would also have to review all the laws passed by Congress that treat the PLO as a terrorist organization and "disrespect relations between the two countries".

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) - which calls itself "the largest Arab-American grassroots organization in the US" - has meanwhile denounced Washington's decision to shut the PLO office.

After the Palestinians joined the ICC in 2015, Congress passed a similar provision into the December 2015 foreign ops bill.
